Even on vacation or at your aunt’s house for the holidays you can still take care of your fitness. Whatever your fitness goals you can do these simple things when you travel to keep your goals on track.
Fitness where ever you go!
Here are a few things you can do to keep yourself on track. These tips are easy and they work!
- Resistance band! Take one of these bad boys when you travel in your carry on! You can use this guy in your hotel room, or while you’re waiting for the lay over to end. I don’t mean you have to do squats right there in the terminal, but you could use this while you’re sitting to get those outer thighs while you wait!
- Stretch! No matter where you are or what you’re doing stretching is important and you should do it especially if you are traveling long distances. Get up and head towards the bathroom-where you have more space. Do side bends, touch your toes, reach for the skies….or space(just a joke!)
- Jump Rope! That’s right, take one of these puppy with you in your bag just like you would your resistance band. It doesn’t take up that much room and it gives your cardio a boost you need.
- Get an app you will use! I use the Peloton app because it gives me options and I can take it anywhere. I share it with my husband, which makes the cost of this app cheaper than a gym membership! You are already taking your tablet with you to watch movies, why not have a fitness app on there too. Another app I enjoy is Fitplan, this app has free workouts that you can groove with. Not only that but it gives you videos to explain what and how you should be working out.
These are somethings you can do when you travel. One other option I think that is kind of awesome is this, should be traveling to a place where there is a beach. Why not jog it? Early in the morning when there is hardly anyone on the beach. You can listen to a great book or the ocean. Really make a connection and enjoy the peacefulness of the water.
