I love books, but of course, you already know that. There is just so much about books that I love. The feeling of holding the book in your hand, and then smelling it. Yes, I smell my books. When I go to a bookstore to look for a new read it is almost like deciding on a sweater or jacket. I take my time and really get to know the book. I read the back and then I read the first fifty pages.
Reading the first fifty pages will help you decide if you will like the book.
The point is I don’t rush when selecting a book. In fact, I actually do a bit of research on books that I may find interesting BEFORE heading to the book store. Knowing that bit of information probably has you wondering how in the world I was able to pick out just five books for the plane. Well, the truth is I started to make the list back in February when we decided we were moving this year.

Why five? Well, it is a fifteen-hour flight! And to be honest I may not want to read a certain book during a particular time. One has to be in the mood for a romance novel or not be mentally fatigued to read a twisting mystery novel. Oh and I do have one for mindfulness, it is a crossword puzzle! You know for fun!

The five books I’ll be reading:
- Under Occupation by Allan Furst
- Study in Scarlet Women by Sherry Thomas
- The Ragged Edge of Night by Olivia Hawk
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling (French Version with audio)
- Sanditon by Jane Austen
I may add another book, one that I have already read should the mood strike me. Honestly, it is hard to choose only five books but I think these are great choices.
What books are you planning on reading this summer? Or if you are traveling, perhaps camping, what books are you bringing with you?
