I have tried a hundred, no a million times to curl my hair. As a woman with naturally curly/wavy hair, I can not get a curl to last in my hair. I also often hear that I curled it the wrong way! So when I discovered Robocurls on Instagram I knew I had to give an honest review.
But first I had to try it out.
Then I could give you my honest review.
As I mentioned above, I can not easily style my hair like many girls out there can. I watch and study youtube videos like I am sure many of you do and even though they say the hairstyle is “easy” I can never get it to look like their examples.
When I discovered Robocurls from a hair blogger, I thought this could be the answer to all my hair woes. Maybe this will get my hairstylist off my back, and she’ll stop lecturing me about curling my hair the “wrong” way.
So, I purchased Robocurls. Since I am living in France this was not a cheap experiment. It cost me $40 to purchase and then I had to pay 14 euros at the post office. But this is all in the name of beauty! And protecting my hair.
You see I suffer from serious dry hair, so anything heatless is desired.
Inspired by a viral tic toc video, the robocurls headband was created. Tried and tested, it works on short hair, long hair, incredibly straight hair, really any type of hair.
The hairband is made of a satiny type of material, which is good to reduce frizz, breakage, and other nasty hair damage.
Inside is a bendable wire that conforms to your head as you wrap it around your hair. The stuffing inside the headband does make it comfortable to wear, which is good because if you decide you want to style your hair like a maiden, you can.
Oh and the hairbands come in several colors so you can coordinate them with your outfits. I chose mocha, cause I am all about the browns these days.
My Honest Review
As a girl who tries to be girly, I will say that I am very impressed with the robocurls. Not only does it only take 90 minutes or overnight, whichever, but the curls are adorable. And they LAST! I play with my hair constantly, and the curls lasted through me, the wind and humidity. They even lasted while I slept on them.
So, would I recommend you to buy these? The simple answer is yes if you live in Europe no. The import taxes are ridiculous and not with the total amount you spend on the headband.
Oh, last thought. The price is pretty reasonable if you are stateside. I do recommend you give one of these bad boys a try, especially if you have a hard time curling your hair like I do.
